Merry Christmas and welcome to day 25 of the Love and Joy Blanket crochet-along. Today's square Cristes-Maesse is inspired by our lord and saviour Jesus Christ and this day that we celebrate God's gift to humanity.
A little about my journey this year in my faith. I have had strong faith since trying to conceive my daughter. At the beginning of this year, like many people, the amount of information pouring into our vision from so many angles and many I've never heard of, was immensely confusing.
Instead of running down the path the rabbit whole wanted to take me, I looked to my faith for answers. I found that it was full of gaps and unanswered questions. So I began my journey of studying my faith. I began with Dennis Prager's "The Rational Bible". I loved this book. I found it so amazing to be reading the bible and understand what was going on. I was able to follow along and see the lineage of Jesus Christ and how only the purest person could be the one to bare him. If you have not taken this journey, I highly recommend you do. Find a series (books are always best), and go for it.
Along my journey I've answered so many of my questions. That's the most important thing! YOU answer your questions. Don't allow someone else to answer your questions for you. If it does not sound right to you go figure out why. Keep looking until your little red flags are eased and you find comfort in your world.
I continued my journey with the same author and the book of Exodus. I'm now reading the testimonies of Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano. Although the some of the information I am learning (and accept as truth) is disheartening at times and disappointing at others, I still find solace and peace in knowing that at my core my faith is pure because it resides in me and not a political organization. Whether it be the Deep State or the Deep Church, my faith is my own and they cannot touch it nor corrupt it if I stand up and protect it.

Is the gauge similar or close enough to make it work?
Are the recommended hook sizes the same?
Another piece of information you can look for is the number of wpi (wraps per inch). This information is not always available so me be more difficult to compare.
