Ariel Beanie PDF

The Ariel Beanies are worked top down in continuous rounds making a spiral. I find it easy to move from one round to another using this technique. The brim is a continuation of the hat. Meaning you will not fasten off after the last round. Based on style of brim you choose; you will continue from the last stich of the last round. Ariel can be worked in most worsted weight yarns. However, due to the nature of yarn and that not all #4 worsted weight yarn is the same, be sure to check your gauge or your hat may not be the same measurements. Skill Level: Easy/ Intermediate

Materials:

• 1 skein #4 worsted weight yarn.
• Hook sizes,
  • H 5mm, for hat body and brim option 1
  • G 4mm for brim option 2, or appropriate hook sizes to meet gauge
• Yarn/Darning needle to weave in ends
• For ponytail beanie, one hair elastic
• For bun beanie use an extra-large hair elastic or 6” of narrow elastic tape ends sewn together (choose a color elastic that will blend well with your yarn)
• Scissors

• Slst- slip stitch
• Slstblo- slip stitch back loop only
• Sc- single crochet
• Scblo- single crochet back loop only
• Hdc- half double crochet
