Sometimes you need to sit back and make something for yourself. The Holiday Tree is quick and easy and great for whatever holiday you celebrate throughout the year. It is versatile and great for upscaling those left-over cones from your cotton yarn, and if you do not have any cones from your other crafty makes, you can get one at your favorite craft store. I also use the tall Styrofoam cones for taller trees too! You can really use anything that is cylindrical and can have yarn glued to it. So have fun, be creative, and make it yours!

Skill Level: Beginner

Materials:

Yarn: #6 Super Bulky. I used “Wool Ease Thick And Quick”; 106yds/97m; 6oz/170g; 77% Acrylic, 20% Wool, 3% Viscose; in color Kale
Hook(s): 9mm
Cone shape of some sort. I use the empty cones from my cotton cones, you can also use Styrofoam cones found at your local craft shop or anything that can accept glue.
Battery operated lights (optional), be sure they are long enough to wrap around the tree from the bottom to the top.
Glue: I use Tacky Glue; I like how it dries fast. You can use hot glue on the empty cotton cone, if you are using Styrofoam, please be sure you are using a low heat hot glue, so you do not risk melting the Styrofoam cone.
